I roleplayed on a roleplay server, doing something other than TDM when I came across people not in the Combine faction. You should try it sometime.

Whilst I'm enjoying the constant action, it is a bit overwhelming on some fronts. I hardly get the time to sit down and RP with the others during high-pop, which is both a good and bad thing. I'd like to see some more passive events to take a break from the RUST-no-mans-land. I understand it's highly combat-orientated, but there's bound to be some things that don't involve firefights. I know this is rectified slightly with the new rule changes, but I'd like to see it expanded a bit.

In light of other events things have been going way better since my last post

Found a lambda crate and got some basic gear out of it that helped me get started, just wished they would re-supply a bit more often. I've started meeting actual characters (mostly just bluesuits and new arrivals but its great fun), tried interacting with some of the ranchers before they got shot up but they turned me away, kinda odd in the moment cause they were asking for help a day or two ago but reading all the shit that's happened I understand why they'd be weary of anyone with a gun lmao

Scouting is great fun, you meet a bunch of other people and i feel like that's where most of your opportunities for RP lie

Don't consider myself a leader and don't really wanna join/create a group so I'm hoping rebels get more organized to a point where they can actively work on plans, until then I'm probably gonna do as much as I can on my own


just a general tip if you wanna have fun stay out of the rebel base unless you really need something like gear, food, medicine or shelter. Very rarely is there much to do around there except sit AFK

Events with NLR rub me the wrong way from a rebel perspective, but I am assuming that Combine aren't punished for being killed on the field and that they have an unlimited stockpile of weapons.

we have a limit to our guns with no restocks at all

Another eventful evening with the whole shanty town shootout. I do not know how much of the frustrations expressed ICly also carried over to the feelings of the players themselves, but I hope nobody feels too fouled over what happened. The last map's glamouring objective came to a draw, and while the Combine may have won this one, they didn't do it without facing plenty of opposition. I'm sure rebels can get plenty dubs in the future especially with things like the APC stuff being reined in.
