I swear I saw this posted somewhere but it's honestly left my memory, but were we providing weapon refunds following the voided fight on monday?
I have a couple I would like to get back should that be the case.

I think the cause for all these sweeps and patrols past the bridge need to be looked into.
It feels like a small group of independent actors is deliberately aggroing cops to cross the bridge and get caught in a firefight with the larger mass of rebels minding their own business.

These independent actors most of the time manage to get themselves caught and killed on sight despite other unrelated nearby groups of rebels operating in the area. The problem of collateral only becomes apparent when an Officer ends up being killed and the same actors end up running into the OOCly-protected safe havens before proceeding to cheekily peak in third person.

*To avoid confusion. The picture I have posted is an example of an individual that was an accomplice to the scenario explained below before they fled back into the warehouse.

I will admit that today there were some very strange actors that proceeded to shoot from one side of the bridge to another; presumably attempting to shoot me down. The same actor ended up being killed and returned shortly afterwards their NLR had finished, although they did cease their shinanigans at that point.

At this rate, I believe a better solution would be to pull back on OOCly protected zones (at least restrict it to the rebel underground tunnels), or the rebel side is going to have to start policing any unfamiliars that decide to venture into their territory. In the end, the Combine's objective is to prosecute the person in question, and if that results in further losses, that is when much more aggressive assets are deployed and the objective is enlarged beyond a singular individual.

I can't even say it's a small group of people or some lone thrillseekers with pistols anymore, because I keep hearing multiple reports of whole squads of blacksuits running off to shoot cops in the city in the last hour alone.

All the while nobody seems to know who the fuck they are.

Well that sounds like a group of professional people that are about to compromise the integrity of rebel operations. I don't suppose the rebels are going to do anything about it.

they cant because all the rebel leaders are either banned or on LOA LMAO

There seems to be some great disconnect between the forum rebels, who continue to write numerous complaints about s2k, and the actual in-game rebels, who not only shotcop on a daily basis, but also stage coordinated ambushes against Civil Protection.

In fact, literally in the middle of a conversation with @Tinbe about how the "lone actors" don't have "the greater resistance's backing", we ran into an ambush composed of about ~7 rebels with top-tier gear (AS VAL, AK-103).

c24 has so far been constant carnage, to the point where a single day on this map results in about as much bloodshed as there was during the entire first map's span. All of this is instigated purely by rebels, because here's the thing:

Combine cannot take offensive action.

They could not in any of the recent past iterations, nor can they right now. Everything Combine does is purely reactive simply because anything else is locked behind unobtainable authorisations.

Every large scale fight so far was started in RB6 by the rebels, then moved to the warehouse and then was immediately escalated by numerous vortigauts and rebels killing as many Combine as they can to the point where injection into the protected zone is authorised (this has happened exactly twice so far, excluding situations where the SD went in himself on his own initative (and a meme sweep where no rebel died)).

I have absolutely no clue where the whole "Combine's hammering us!" comes from when it continues to remain a purely reactionary force, despite its gear AND numbers being entirely unfit for such a playstyle.

I maintain that the only solution to the clusterfucks these people instigate is to either excommunicate, kill or turn them over. Same way anyone who intentionally got the beach on i17 raided was open season for PK auths.

And this is why I was particular about my phrasing before. The sweeps are symptoms, and we need to address the cause - aka the shotcoppers.

If I could choose, I'd rather have these piecemeal assaults where rebels go and claim a new section of the map and fortify it, to prepare a staging point for the next push. Not these isolated groups running off to get their dopamine rush and causing Combine to push the rebels in, because there's not a whole lot of room for us to fall back right now.
