Why shouldn't they be used against people

Most rocket launchers in the world have fragmentation rockets designed for anti-infantry use and more often than not RPGs are used against infantry even with HEAT or tandem rockets meant for anti tank use

in the interests of OOC fairness and also fun for both parties. remember that this is a video game, and it's supposed to be fun

there's no counterplay, no warning, and no indication

just thump, boom, and now several people are dead

and the map is far too CQC to unironically say "just spread out"

I got killed by one and honestly had no problem with it

The TF2 soldier rocketjump backblast balances it out

I like the street to street combat, but I've also enjoyed the RP that's come out of desperation. From digging through recycling bins to fuel ammunition demands to conscripting citizens and councillors for the war effort. It's emphasised the siege alot better since firefights and artillery are closer, with people becoming more desperate

how can we justify, from a in-universe perspective, the rebels actually holding a siege when the combine can just deploy a strider and wipe out what amounts to basically every character in a single swoop

At this rate I wouldn't be surprised if we actually end up holding City 24 by the end of the map minus deus ex machina for the Resistance

yknow, holding the objective with the least importance to the overall narrative of getting back in touch with the Overworld and winning the war against the Lambda Cells, with C24 effectively being a massive sidetrack so the OSC can keep their fancy Geneva HQ for meetings about how FUBAR things are outside of C24.

There’s a very good reason the rebels are pushing the palace

Some people know because they were at the meeting, whether they told everyone else, I have no idea

Of course,

until rebelside celebrates their city occopation during a peaceful passiverp moment for 2 days after the city was secured by them and Lambda,
then suddenly a nuke explodes (turns out Geneva had nukes underground all along, their past conventions aint so peaceful now are they)
combine knew, they triggered it post loss.

suddenly everything freezes



everyone are stripped naked from their xabar(loot) and entirety of inventory

devs are now able to implement items/scripts size changes thanks to the beneficial inventory wipe

roll the credits

map switch as usual, timeline gman'd

Not sure, been like that since the map started.

Only thing that might be impacting me specifically is that i usually have Stormfox disabled, since it overrides lighting on my personal map projects.
