I see. That does track on OOC level, but conveying it IC seems like it'll be a challenge. Not every rebel is going to be "in the know" either due to not checking forums or being present in-server when someone makes a major announcement that the depot can be ignored. Plus, even if it can be ignored... that doesn't sound like it'll do a lot of good for rebel morale. All the lives lost last night turned out to be for a futile objective? If that thought stings me, a vort player, then I can't imagine how rebels must've felt - especially those that were in the fight long enough to have NLR timer wear off and die a second time going back into the fight.

do you want to be literally spoonfed victory or do you want to actually perform some basic scouting efforts to find out what's going on

do you want to straight up go toe to toe with EOWs out of "fear" or do you want to actually use that fear productively and collapse the depot from the outside (like someone suggested that you do early on)

come on dude

all this fairness talk is starting to sound like one side blaming the other under the guise of keeping them in check. just start looking inward and cleaning up your own shit IC, there is no excuse for what you guys did last night, none whatsoever, you have nobody to blame but yourselves. simple as

do some recon, be smart about things, be inventive and think outside the box because I guarantee there’s better ways of attacking places than just bumrushing it ww3rp style

you can’t expect to just be told every single high value target and how it’s defended

Nah its cool, you're valid to point out rebels may be disheartened because thats what rebels are historically known for doing at the first real sign of adversity lmao.

If we take a step back, rebels have a huge theoretical advantage when you look at things from a 'balance' point of view.

Think for one moment, if you spend the time stockpiling, you can get as many Rebels as you want, all with Radios, some form of High powered weapon with plenty of ammo (Semi or Fully automatic rifles/Shotguns) and over 100 armour EACH. There's no limit on how far you can extend, no limit to how long you stay outside. Just your own stockpiles. Vortigaunts help too with the Sniping department.

Combine can only keep 12 out at any given moment, including scanners and synths and 90% of them can only use MP5/7's. The only thing going for them is consistency, you can reliably get a handful of cops/ota and expect them to know what they're doing. They will have a weapon with plenty of ammo, they're all on the same radio and they will have full armour. Add the force modifier that the Combine have a clear 'Structure' to follow and tend to join a VC when they make a PT. A Rank Leader/Ordinal can just say "I need 5 People" and get them immediately, regardless of what that task is.

At the end of the day, Time to Kill is quick, number of men and structure really help in engagements, especially if they have experience (EOW). It's unfortunate I wasn't there to see what happened yesterday but I hope you had fun.

Aye bro by no means you are, we see your point, but we also see a lot of the good ol' rebel pointing fingers outwards.

When I saw what pre-planning you guys had yesterday, my rebel decided to stay out of groups and be an independent helper of sorts, because for him it was a suicide mission.

Anyhow guys remember this is a game and like Ond said if we lose we might as well get some RP out of it. Retreat is possible too: If you see you might lose too much or won't be able to resist for another reinforcement wave, retreat, rethink and retry before losing all your firepower.

dude they raided it BECAUSE it had elites in it, no other reason
i went on the assault specifically to capture and destroy the facility's internals and the garisson, as it was a target of opportunity - Close proximity to our base, important enough to be guarded by Elites, it is a target that we can employ mass and surprise on quickly, therefore I was all good going on the raid, not simply because it had elites in it
