hello I have an idea regarding vortigaunts @Appetite Ruining Kebab @Numbers
the current ruling is that if they get soloed out in combat and do not surrender they get PK'd if they die
could this be changed that they are automatically converted to biotic (as it used to be) instead?
RPing mid-s2k doesn't seem to work (see: @STUCK IN A CAKE situation) and I don't think there's a point in making the combat enthusiastic vorts burn through characters (see: whoever plays the vorts that we PK'd so far)

I'm ngl chief, I'd rather die than be captured. If I was forced into it, I'd delete the character before playing a second as a biotic. I've never understood the faction and in my decade of playing. I've honestly never understood why factions like Cremator (literally a combine pyro synth) are seen as obscene but literal slave roleplay is considered an actual viable option. The only logic I can honestly apply to its players is that they're hardcore subs irl and get off on it in some way to be subjugated like that in game.

Or simply just go "Hey, you're being PK'ed. Would you rather be a captured vort?"

Biotic roleplay is genuinely a hundred thousand times more interesting than Free Vort RP - and was for the majority of Neb's lifespan tbh. Ask any of the people who RP'd Biotics extensively like @Appetite Ruining Kebab, @FieldersNL or me.

If you approach the faction with the mentality of "I'm going to walk around waiting for cops to bully me and nothing else" then yeah, you're not going to have any fun at all and its no wonder that's your view of the faction.

On my Biotic I was stealing shit, smuggling, helping free other Vorts, contacting rebels, killing reporters, the works. By contrast my only real experience with Free Vort RP was wandering around hoping to be included and trying not to give rebels an excuse to shoot me.

*if the vorts attack first (and they should be NLRed if they just get shot down in a group/the combine doesnt make an attempt to capture them, so combat is still very much possible)
