made a new character, tried to do some passiveRP because i felt i needed to change how i played

first person i run into is jus AFK in one of the ranch houses until i come in and i try and talk to them while cops r out patroling and whatnot so they're not just sat on they own staring into space, after like 2 minutes im told to fuck off in LOOC????? how does bdb have the strength to keep going

Tbh I think a combination of a lot of the most bad-faith actors not playing anymore (so less red tape needed) alongside there not being nearly as much of an incentive for people to "win" by dint of the setting has done wonders.

ok now that ive played longer than 3 days i can say i thoroughly enjoy what has been put onto the table, decent passive when no one is fighting and very good engagements all around (excluding the fact my ping spikes to 530ms every time i enter a firefight and everyone turns into a stand user including myself)

but don't worry about that part, i'll learn to shoot the enemy and retreat as soon as possible back to my gooncave to keep up my jelqing stats.

ok now that ive played longer than 3 days i can say i thoroughly enjoy what has been put onto the table, decent passive when no one is fighting and very good engagements all around (excluding the fact my ping spikes to 530ms every time i enter a firefight and everyone turns into a stand user including myself)

but don't worry about that part, i'll learn to shoot the enemy and retreat as soon as possible back to my gooncave.

i am overall very new to serious roleplay and this server is the first seriousRP that i have played on consistently since its current iteration launched

nebulous has the perfect middle point between passiveRP and combat. it hits the sweet g-spot, and there's a fair share of things to do around especially with admins GMing and whatnot and so far i found it mostly fun

however

i found balance to be a bit of a problem as the combine get APCs, near-indestructible supersoldier synths, dropships, gunships, hunter-choppers, hunters, and there isn't a ton we can do to counter these. i do think personally its a bit unfair that the APC can relentlessly spam 5 billion rockets on rp_apocalypse children whilst we can't do much about it due to a lack of effective weaponry. this also applies to all other aforementioned combine tech

i also think the map is starting to get a bit old and we should switch

but napalm grenades isn't (too) high tier so you probably could get it approved quite quickly

it's not like napalm grenades can melt a synth or anything right

solution being introduced, just not a fan of giving giant AOE objects to randoms, so its distribution is gonna be regulated like crazy

not to mention, only the highest two ranks of combine soldier can deploy apcs rn, ordinals and commanders
