call me a coper and seether all u want but today has been the most unfun day for me as a rebel

unkillable synths (no lambda was on we couldn't use our anti synth tools), cps/ota/whatever the fuck with infinite rockets (lol), constant boring raids over the day, this is all getting tiresome

how does combine even have an rpg with so many rockets lmao, what happened to each side having a monopoly weapon (ar2/rpg im assuming) that was inaccessible to the other with rare-to-nonexistant ammo if it fell in the other's hand anyway

today mightve been packed with people, but this was seriously one of the worst experiences ive had so far with the geneva timeline and im really hoping that this comes to a close soon, it's getting very tiresome and upsetting at this point.

What's going on RE the outpost?

We've failed to hold it twice from assault and were told we'd get assistance in defending it until resupply tomorrow...only to then be attacked by OTA, cops and a strider (which we have no means of killing) again with no assistance from any lambda members.

I have to say overall, from the rebels POV we just got rolled every time and to throw in something we just couldn't kill (and was s2king through smoke, from what someone said in LOOC) just made it even worse.

Also, giving us MP5Ks when the other side has access to vendors with their normal gear (MP7s, Shotguns, AR2s) isn't giving us much of a fighting chance of holding the outpost.

I am overall happy that rebels get a vendor. It's a big step towards putting rebels on equal footing with the Combine factions. I think rebels should keep on having their own vendor on the next maps, much like the cops and OTA have theirs. It should either be "supplies are infinite for both sides" or "supplies are finite for both sides", not "supplies are finite for one side and infinite for the other". The addition of the vendor opted for "supplies are infinite for both sides" which is fine and I advocate for the continuation of this. It is much better than having rebels scraping the barrel for ammunition while cops can just roll up to their vendor after dying and fill their inventories to the brim with ammunition.

P.S. when I mean supplies I mean armour, medkits, ammo, basic guns, etc.

idk, fights in the city are absolute aids, striders s2king and beaming through props to instakill a squad of rebels, OTA spamming the spas12 sniper across park, also firing RPGs at rebels

is this supposed to be fun or what, why is that what we're fighting against? How does the outpost actually stay active when rebels have been wiped from it multiple times today? Can we rein things in a bit so there's actually a sense of realism that the rebels are sieging the city and maybe so both sides can actually have a decent firefight instead of unkillable synth characters wiping an entire force before even cops have a chance to engage us, who's actually having fun here?

Im saying this as someone who's spent 90% of this map just engaging Combine so I'm not hating on s2k here but holy the balance here is abysmal and seriously unfun, it'd probably be alright if things were even slightly balanced but yeah, didn't enjoy today

From what I saw on my cop character, and I barely get to see things on that boy up until tonight, the second fort creaming was instigated by rebels trying to push through the park before retreating. I assume the intention was to let things cool off after the first time everybody got wiped on Fort Knapp. Not to say I don't get your frustration, I was there during the first creaming - and where I got instagatted after going through the TP door while OTA were still inside the fort.

This map fair enough but today was starting to seem more like ww3rp
And yeah granted the rebels really don’t need to keep running out there and doing this but at the same time it’s not exactly clear what they ARE supposed to be doing lol

i mean when i see stuff like this i just think the verisimilitude has been shattered over a knee

how can we justify, from a in-universe perspective, the rebels actually holding a siege when the combine can just deploy a strider and wipe out what amounts to basically every character in a single swoop

it takes several concentrated RPG rockets to take down a single strider, and it takes far longer for rebels to do that than for the strider to walk up and hold M1 in their general direction

I wouldn't even be that arsed if they were left clicking, but they're fucking beaming people which is an AoE instant kill even through props

issued refunds for this, was quite bullshit


also max supplies are a temporary state of affairs for this map
People shouldn't have to OOCly contact lambda players to deal with a one shotting strider (unless I'm mistaken what the first line is trying to say), and that rpg was held by a group and used by that group

yes, no one came

we also had no information that we had extra rockets to kill a strider, there was no possible way to use it even if we had it due to the shittilion cops and ota surrounding the big guy

we kept getting riddled with bullshit everytime we tried going near that, you're really underestimating how overwhelming all of this was

That's exactly where we just got beamed and instant killed literally the first second it turned the corner though? We had no chance to even shoot it
