Voicechat not working (IK NEB DOESN'T HAVE IT)

As in the title, I know nebulous don't have voicechat so It's not what I'm trying to do here.

I've gone into the microphone settings on steam itself, here it works.

I've gone into the microphone settings that steam opens up through gmod settings and it doesn't pick up anything in there.

So I believe the root of the issue is there. Anyone able to help me find a fix?

Solution found: it was an external program messing with it, (voicemod), currently looking into how I can make them run together.

usually it makes a different driver for a mic, so you gotta use the voicemod mic. make sure voicemod is open and I think it works.
i had the same problem when I used clownfish.

I made voicemod the mic and still didn't work, I'll look into it more when I have more time but for now just gonna relax.
