Walker's Point

At one point or another, during your travels within the Resistance's soil, you'd come across a small, lit campfire by a tent. Upon coming closer, you find this is just a small, cozy camp, devoid of any occupant. A peaceful place to rest... There's more though.

Next to the campfire, you'd notice a hand-built notice board, made out of various pieces of nailed-together wood, the hammer the construction was made with still on the ground next to it. A large piece of old parchment has been tied to the board.

You find it is a map of the area, completely hand-drawn by a variety of red and black Sharpie pens strewn all across the floor, with personal notes also present all over the map. If you'd return to the tent at any point, you'd realise that this map is being constantly updated with various notes, but you never have seen the author.

New markings. You could swear these weren't here an hour ago. They probably weren't.
Some warnings, other small details unveiled. Good to know.
A couple of previous annotations have been sloppily removed from the map, some black stains remaining.

As quick as it arrived, the map goes silent...
It's author is gone, clearly.
But the map yet remains, and the campfire burns.
Someone out there will make good use of it.

One day, during your travels, you see an unusual sight.
The campfire by Walker's point, burning once again.
Upon coming close, you realise that the map has been newly updated.
Looks like they're back!

Also notably, nails and a hammer remain by the board, which has been extended to allow for more space.
