I'm going to make my argument for female characters.

Firstly. ERP. I'm not a supporter of erp at all nor do I fully condone it. However. If it is done outwith sight and hearing of other players and is done so it doesn't effect the server or any RP at all. What's the problem? If people decide to do it. Then let them, As long as it doesn't cause problems for others.

Secondly. If we are going to try and talk about realism here. Like "Oh. Woman cant fight and cant shoot right and are sooo weak compared to the manly man soldiers" Remember. We are creating a WW3RP server.... A fucking WW3RP server. Now, aside from the fact that it's almost universally impossible that a World War like this will occur IRL. we also completely ignore the fact that MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) would almost definitely occur in a real WW3 scenario. If we can ignore the fact that the world would look like this if WW3 actually happened:

Then I fail to see why we cant allow soldiers in the army just because they have a fucking vagina and a pair of tits...

Lastly and most importantly. This is a Roleplay server that is ultimately designed so people can have FUN on it. making auths needed for an entire gender just because some random people decide to do "/me fingers self" or "/me sticks dick in hole" Is just moronic and plain unnecessary. And frankly just impedes roleplay more than is necessary.

If someone wants to seriously play a female character, they can take the time to prove themselves to the powers that be.

As someone who roleplayed as a chick (and coincidentally, as one in real life), I don't mind the need for an auth. I would prefer it if it were more along the lines of players getting banned for unseriousness, but it's up to the SDs in the end, and I think judging by the last what has it been now, 3? threads about WW3, the SDs have come to this decision not lightly. Realize that they're doing it for the benefit of everyone, and not to punish people.

Also on the subject of DADT, while it has been repealed IRL and while I didn't much care for it being instated on LP, I ICly supported it (on a bisexual male character who was in an open relationship with another male, no less!) because I knew, ICly and OOCly, that it was for the benefit of everyone, and not just because Oxy wanted to punish the playerbase.

Yeah, gays and women are allowed in the military, and there's even a document on its way to Obama that will have women sign up for the reserve when they turn 18. But this isn't real life. This is a video game, with a shitton of different opinions, and in order to quiet the masses, sometimes you have to disappoint a few people.

tl;dr if you want to be a chick, apply for it.

There's literally no reason it couldn't.

Now I don't know the lore that WW3RP will be using, but Cold War context is an incredibly tense era, and except for the fact that NATO and WP never declared war against one another, the extent of the proxy wars fought on a global theatre shows just how close the two powers came to war without the use of nukes.

Point is, female chars, particularly on WW3, are often extraordinarily poorly played. If you're good at it, you can get auth, that way you don't get the literal cancerous tumors that ruin fem chars for everyone else and turn them into living sex memes.
