HL2 related but it was on C8 v1 when rebels decided it was a smart idea to turn themselves into CAB because one guy did it and got leniency as a propaganda piece? And one of the rebels who got outed was Gemma who'd joined up with WI at the time because the map (C8 v1) was otherwise literally a box for rebels to exist in so she got dragged into the Nexus.

I wanted to pardon her and give her some RP but the OTA present insisted in private she get capped in the head and they'd do it anyway if I didn't so, rip, she got shot in the head lol

like, I keep seeing all these posts about katana-tier roleplay but if overwatch was a peg above you have to wonder what they did aside from kick people off the I17 platform

Nah that was a WI project from LP that was in progress when I joined CAB under CoDs. It got passed to me when I became their adviser but it never really went anywhere.

OTA drew the line partially based on who you were OOC tbh - and even then most of them would do whatever without caring. I watched an EOW crush someone's skull against the floor rather than shoot them in my first week as an adviser.

Dumb shit like that had been a staple since like 2014 but people only started caring when they didn't like the people doing it. I'm glad we saw a shift away from those systems altogether though.

(sorry for the necro, i really felt like reminiscing once more)

wouldn't want to get you down but i did that exact same thing when neb's FTRP launched, I had a half-human half-insect mutie with a fucked big jaw who always wore a face mask and scarf to cover it up, he also had like chitin armor and shit once he got to Tier 3 (name was Magnus Sage, same as my HL2RP char i believe)

then he got captured by the frundsec equivalent of the sheriff from masquerade (aka angus) and the other guy who could shoot white phosphorous from his hands

and got locked together with @Pict 's alligator man
