it isn't even being toxicPretty sure opinions are subjective and not objective, but sure. Only losers here are the people who feel the need to be toxic over a difference of opinion.
cue Kommando Squad who skinned a vortigaunt on Heavy Snow (before the first mapchange, mind you, only ten minutes in) and showed it off to a captured biotic.
and then proceeded to nail five vortigaunts to trees on the next map
OTA is a mainstay of the HL2 franchise and while they may rarely interact with, like scanners, they're important to keep around to keep thing feeling like Half-Life. They have their place and purpose.ota doesn’t add anything to roleplay please tell me how they aren’t objectively bad
many people don't want a half life experience because there's not much space for roleplay and events in the bland, stale setting of half life 2Again, this is why it's subjective, I want a truer HL2 experience and some just want to create more RP at the cost of what little established lore there is.
I wasn't insulting, you did God's work there.

because the story was an after thought, the story solely exists to allow cool set pieces in the game and thus isn’t very fleshed out or interestinghow is it bland and stale, just curious
i dont wanna explain something that we've gone over ten thousand times in this thread https://nebulous.cloud/threads/i-dont-like-the-current-lore.39095/how is it bland and stale, just curious

The thing is though Toride was heavily scripted for narrative to the point most of the stuff conscripts wanted to do (which included a full-on coup and assassination of CAB) was shut down quietly before it got off the ground. The difference is people just didn't take the complete piss with it because it was a Dallas event and people didn't wanna be labelled for dicking about during it.lessen rules, heavy snow and shit lacked what events like toride has - there was infinitely a lot less enforcement of rules and rules in general, literally when something cool went down a proselyte would flag on and cuck shit
every meme character during heavy snow should have been banned and the ranks shouldnt have been given out like candyThe thing is though Toride was heavily scripted for narrative to the point most of the stuff conscripts wanted to do (which included a full-on coup and assassination of CAB) was shut down quietly before it got off the ground. Conversely if someone dicked around during an event like Heavy Snow, who'd care or kick up shit? Not to mention Conscripts were hardly remotely relevant to the wider event beyond one or two events and guarding the wall - they weren't the main focus in that regard which made them easier to handle.
