this is the arts liberality in me talking but while we're on the subject i really embrace the position of radical ambivalence to the entire discourse around gender and sexual identity, it's not a field i can really make comment on

nothing makes sense in the world so why draw lines at gender, the world is total chaos and that's not going to change by forcing people to behave certain ways or deny sections of the population legal status - it is not like gender identity is going to drag you out of bed at night and kill you, or your loved ones, it's just another means of peaceful individual expression
