strap bombs to bug baited antlions and send them at the combine outpost

on the assumption you could actually get close enough to antlion drones to do this, this is actually genius what the fuck

My ideas and prototypes for advanced warfare are extensive and thought-out yet none want to adopt them

day 1 rebels base attack and when APC gets deployed it gets beamed and RPGd and now rebels are complaining?

This goes to show how little information gets around. I had literally zero idea that rebels attacked Combine base on the first day, or the fact that someone was given access to an RPG or that a Vort had beamed an APC to any significant amount.

wild to me how nobody seeks a true answer to the APC question and remains pretty quiet instead of getting a final yes/no of if it can be damaged
if i was more involved in combat the past few days i would've informed people to keep shooting them
But can vorts damage the APC or not
even the SA's didn't know

I am asking because some vortigaunt players did tell me they could but I could not confirm it.
ye needs a test, i literally just know because of forum posts back in clockwork where people mentioned even bullets damage APC's

pro-tip: shoot at it until it dies

vortigaunts damage apcs, they can definitely take one down if it overexposes itself and doesnt retreat, vortigaunts just need to stop working alone

I've tried working with rebels, but as mentioned before, rebels quickly feel hesitant about fighting the moment an APC shows up. Any and every project outside the base is soon treated as a worthless waste of lives the second that a death fridge makes its appearance. Plus, it's getting harder (from my experience) to see more than three vorts around at the same time - which makes for a very minuscule all-green party to hunt down armor.

People are treating APCs like they are Striders/Choppers/Dropships/Gunships. In short, not something you're supposed to fight.

can we get rid of the frustratingly low amount of ammo you can have loaded at any given moment

just remove it, its annoying as fuck and forces players to carry ammo boxes around

Rebels can't do much when APCs show up, the only thing they can pretty much do is try to distract/aggro it while vorts take it on, but if it's got CP support then tough luck cause now you're under fire from a team of 5-6 CPs at a minimum and a tank that can destroy you in a few bullets or a rocket. Most people don't have the means to really deal with it without prior planning which there hasnt been much of

Wasted all my ammo today shooting at it to get its attention away from others but when cops showed up I was down to like 18 bullets, at what point can you really do about it, rebels are heavily outnumbered and out of supplies today too (or at least I am lmao)

I def noticed the hesitancy to engage though, earlier today while fighting there were only like 6-7 people actually willing to take up arms and attack and two of them were vorts (and even the vorts were hesitant now that theyre under PK risk). Organizing anythings also pretty difficult since everyone has a different idea on what to do

considering limiting some aspects of civpro deployment. fun fact, actually wrote APC to be limited by ordinal ota only but it was never written in code. can start enforcing today, as a balancing factor to excessive vortigaunts/snipers

server isnt all that fun atm,

been trying to run a passive focused group whos neutral (trying to trade food and drink and cattle between rebels and cops)

everyday is just another xen infestation of the farm event or cops coming by and s2king us (twice today) and our group is unarmed besides melee so we just kinda hide and they run in the houses and massacre us all

server feels more like tdm combine vs rebels gamemode and not much else

all the roleplay is catered to either being military on eitheer side and seems like people trying to be in the middle are an afterthought

idk, ill prob wait for the next map to see if it gets better
