From what I'm aware, the Foreign Correspondent is gone.
Other than that, I don't think much (if anything) has really changed, as it's the same old 'X goes into the city, Red Armband and Pin' to either take pictures or find recent events to write down. There's next to nothing else in the faction that I've seen actually happen, like nothing major lore-wise. There's no BEFEHEL or CASS, there's no 'dark underside', the faction's main 'fun' is writing up what is essentially downgraded lore documents.
The personal beliefs and views in articles is still present, and the most prominent figure in that sort was Isaac Powers, who I believe caused the most drama in the faction I've ever seen due to the outrageously different opinions he had, as well as his overall attitude and demeanour being so wild it made him essentially a martyr for free speech in my eyes.
That, and @Evie having her ex-Terminal member (turned CAB) have his tongue cut out by rebels.
Foreign Correspondents are still a position within the Terminal for those who want to take it up. I have to say that you are wrong about there is no dark underside, because there are people within the Terminal who will take bribes or drop stories if their friends tell them to, within rogue auths. We also have a rogue auths system for those who want to apply to do some more extreme things.

I personally have also done some underground things on my Terminal worker before, having rogue auths on my first worker before I became a lead. Articles are no longer forced to be the same attitude, and if you take a look at the section you'll see how many opinion pieces there are and even a slander piece on a Doctor that one of our writers didn't like. I've put less restrictions on the faction and allowed them to write what they want with the base rules staying the same as they always have. I don't know if I've been successful, but I'd like to think I have.

I'm glad to see Foreign Correspondent as a position, however I'm also quite sad to see it. The position has, essentially, a forum-only basis, as it'd make little to no sense for that correspondent to have an actual character, and thus boiling down to a Lore-writer who can only write specific lore, with next to no inspiration. I'm aware of the rogue auth system that the Terminal has, however the lack of actual knowledge makes the rogue system near obsolete as there's not much a Rebel Terminal writer can do, without being immediately noticed. No rebel articles, that sort.

The current standpoint on the articles is fairly... well, it makes the 'everyone can say what they want' aspect of the faction less exciting or fun. If you give one person a sweet, then giving out sweets will be exiting, however if you give everyone a sweet, then there's not much to be gained as people'll just horde sweets. It's sort of like that with articles, and opinions. It's why people like, as mentioned prior, Isaac Powers was popular and well-known, whereas now I don't think I could personally name any Terminal Writer off the top of my head.

Simply, there is no feeling of IC presence with the Terminal, as they play a mostly-forum part.

This is an effect due to people's approach to their whitelist, not due to the Terminal's function. Many people apply and treat their Terminal reporters as "side" characters while they "main" something else. This is true even for me and Snook, and honestly, as long as good articles are put out and there are engaging interviews and whatnot, I do not mind this so much.
We've always said other factions can come and make requests for articles and whatever, but so far only @Snowl has come through with his request for the slogans brainstorming, which was fun and great.

Change the approach to the whitelist, and give an IC presence, then. Snowl's work is fairly good and interesting, with the Tattler sort being a good example of a subsidiary within the faction. Due to the Terminal having essentially no competition, though, it takes out a major part of having the Terminal make 'iconic' articles, as all forms of news for the UU go through them. There isn't the sort of politics-leaning competition, e.g People's Alliance Newspaper, and it seems like a clump of everyone's opinions all stuck into one set.

But this is simply my fast thread to get across my personal opinions, if you wanna try and convince me otherwise of the opinion then you can try but I mean I don't come here to be hostile or argue so just as a mention for anyone who reads this, don't come on to this thread to be destructive and insulting, come here to debate.

This might possibly be the worst and still somehow least true to a point analogy I've ever seen on this forum. @Dr Heckyll 's doing an amazing job with the Terminal, it's the most functioning and best part of Union-side roleplay right now.

imma be real with you chief, if the terminal went down the route of not being able to say anything that wasn't cookie-cutter, i'd leave the whitelist and move onto smth else

gotta disapprove of that chief

hey, I'm just one of the many train conductors here. If anything, @Snookdoggy 's changes over these past few months were the true factor in taking the faction to its current state.
