I'd say this iteration of WW3RP will definetly cater to an audience that likes the freedom and style of a relatively simple universe, since history is easier to be played compared to fandom communities of movies / games etcetera.
If one thing should remain a priority in this version, it must be player freedom: it was one of the core values which, in my opinion, made Stasiland much more different compared to other servers. Of course, trust must be regulated and it's been broken enough to warrant a stricter system: but allowing more opportunities aslong as the idea itself is creative would be fantastic.
We'll certainly get a lot of the nostalgic WW3 players first, and over time we can gain more players. There's even a chance that people who are new to roleplay are more likely to join WW3RP, as the setting sounds less fictional, atleast so I think.
Another point: have a
heavy focus on making the introduction as easy to understand as possible, even to newer roleplayers. It doesn't have to be an admin walking them
through every step of the way, but anything else to allow new players to feel at home.
Having the Soviets as an initially scary force to new roleplayers would be excellent - formation and discipline would make them seem undefeatable at first, which could make new players determined to gain superiority, somehow.
I'm overall very excited, but I don't want to influence the current concept too much - it'll work, and we all got faith in you and the project.
